Murder
Mr. Boyce has tried many murder cases, including death penalty cases. Mr. Boyce has obtained acquittals after jury trials in murder cases; most recently, Mr. Boyce obtained an acquittal in a special circumstance murder case, where the client faced a sentence of life without parole. Ms. Schaefer has obtained reversals of murder convictions on appeal.
Child Molest & Rape
Mr. Boyce has won acquittals in the trials of several highly publicized child molest cases. Our firm also obtained an acquittal in a rape case. Ms. Schaefer has obtained several reversals on appeal of child molest convictions, recently obtaining a reversal for a client serving a 28-year sentence.
Possession of Child Pornography
Mr. Boyce and Ms. Schaefer obtained an acquittal for a client accused of possession of child pornography, with the assistance of computer forensics specialists. Such expert assistance is critical in defending these cases.
